ATN Keeps I.S.O. Quality Seal

On 13 June 2011, the audit team from SGS conducted a process-based audit and concluded that ATN has established and maintained its quality management system in line with the requirements of the standard and demonstrated the ability of the system to systematically achieve agreed requirements for services within the scope and the organization's policy and objectives.

Having passed the surveillance audit again and being granted continued certification to ISO 9001:2008 is a reflection of the company's strong determination and unrelentless drive for progress and improvement.

The quest for excellence by both Management and Staff has enabled ATN to be certified to ISO for eight (8) consecutive years now (since year 2004).

The entire ATN TEAM shall embrace the same commitment to ensure full satisfaction of the customers, overseas agents, stakeholders and business partners.

PMS Kick-Off Activity

ATN tapped the services of LJMB "Learning Just Made Better" Management Consultancy Services in building the ATN Performance Management System (PMS). Together with ATN's CEO, all ATN Managers, Supervisors and Section Heads attended 3 Saturday sessions for the orientation and crafting of the organizational, departmental and individual Key Result Areas (KRA), Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Key Performance Objectives (KPO). After the 3 Saturday sessions, a PMS kick-off activity was organized last 05 April 2011 at the Microtel Hotel MOA to communicate to the staff the objectives, benefits and cycle of the PMS. The roles and responsibilities in PMS were also tackled.

Since excellence is a value that all are enjoined to strive for in the workplace, the ATN Management has agreed to implement this new Management System to allow more measurability in performance efforts and outputs. This is also one way for the company to continue the culture that it has built over the past 25 years -- the culture of welcoming challenges and desiring to improve.

During the PMS Kick-Off, each department presented their respective "dreams and aspirations" for the company. The event was filled with excitement and energy as the staff came prepared for the sports outfit contest and departmental cheer competition.

ATN's Cooperation with
PH-US Governments Solidified

After a highly-competitive and rigorous bid tender, ATN has successfully bagged a multi-million transport contract for the door-to-door delivery of 216 trucks of US Excess Defense Articles (EDA) involving 12,000 CBM.

Hurdling immense challenges including US MARAD issues, snowstorms, and flooding in the US East Coast, the ATN is on the homestretch in the consolidation and withdrawal of the 216 military trucks that were picked up from various USG depots across the country. These trucks will be loaded towards the end of April 2011 into a 5,000-tonner RORO US-flagged vessel chartered especially for said delivery.

ATN's CEO Mary Lou T. Estrada is at the helm and steering of said project to its fruitful completion. Ms. Estrada considers the contract as one of the most challenging projects after brazing through several compliance and special laws from the United States and the Philippine government.
